These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at https://oklaelectrique.ca (the "Website") and the electrical contracting services offered by Okla Électrique Inc. ("Okla Électrique", "we", "us" or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Website or engaging us for any work.
By accessing or browsing the Website, submitting a form, signing up for our newsletter, contacting us, or requesting or receiving services from us, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website or our services.
These Terms were last updated and are effective as of June 29, 2026.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Okla Électrique. They apply to everyone who visits the Website, requests a quote, books work, or otherwise interacts with us online or in person in connection with our services.
If you are agreeing to these Terms on behalf of a business, a property owner, a condominium or another organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that party, and references to "you" include that party.
Specific projects may also be covered by a separate written quote, estimate, work order or service agreement. Where a signed or accepted written agreement for a particular project conflicts with these Terms, the terms of that project agreement will govern for that project.
Okla Électrique Inc. is a licensed residential, commercial and industrial electrical contractor based in Montréal, Québec. We provide electrical installation, repair, maintenance and related services to clients throughout Greater Montréal and the West Island.
We hold Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) licence number 5847-6672-01 and are a member of the Corporation des maîtres électriciens du Québec (CMEQ). Our electrical work is carried out by qualified electricians in accordance with the standards applicable to our trade in Québec.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and view the Website for your own lawful, non-commercial purposes, such as learning about our services and contacting us. This licence does not give you any ownership of the Website or its content.
When using the Website, you agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use of the Website. In particular, you agree that you will not:
All content on the Website, including the text, images, photographs, graphics, layout, design, logo, business name and other branding of Okla Électrique, is owned by or licensed to Okla Électrique and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The Okla Électrique name and logo are our property and may not be used without our permission.
You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, display, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Website or its content without our prior written consent, except that you may view content and print or download a copy for your own personal reference in connection with considering or using our services. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
Any quote or estimate we provide is based on the information available to us at the time, the scope of work discussed with you, and the conditions we are able to observe or reasonably anticipate. Estimates are intended to give you a good-faith projection of the expected cost, not a guaranteed final price.
The final price may differ from an estimate if the scope of work changes, if site conditions turn out to be different from what was expected (for example, hidden wiring issues, code-compliance requirements, or access limitations discovered once work begins), or if the cost or availability of materials changes. Where additional or changed work would affect the price, we will discuss it with you before proceeding wherever it is reasonably possible to do so.
Unless we state otherwise in writing, a quote is valid for a reasonable period from the date it is issued, after which prices and availability may need to be reconfirmed. Pricing is not binding on either party until a written agreement, quote acceptance, or work order has been accepted by both you and Okla Électrique.
Work is scheduled by mutual agreement once a quote or work order has been accepted. We will make reasonable efforts to attend on the agreed dates and times, but schedules may be affected by factors outside our control, including weather, supply delays, emergencies, and the availability of permits or site access. We will keep you informed if an appointment needs to be adjusted.
Payment terms, including any deposit required before work begins, will be set out in your quote, work order or invoice. Deposits, where required, help reserve your scheduled date and cover initial materials. Invoices are payable by the date and method stated on the invoice.
Amounts that remain unpaid after their due date may be subject to interest or administrative charges as permitted by law and as set out in the applicable invoice or agreement. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible; cancellations or changes on short notice, and any materials already ordered or work already performed, may be subject to charges as described in your quote or work order and as permitted by applicable law.
Our electrical work is performed by qualified electricians in a professional manner and in accordance with the electrical code and standards applicable in Québec. Where a permit or inspection is required for the work, we will arrange or assist with it as appropriate to the project and as agreed with you.
To allow us to perform the work safely and on schedule, you agree to provide reasonable and safe access to the work area, to disclose any known hazards or relevant conditions, and to keep the work area reasonably clear. For your safety and ours, please keep children, pets and untrained persons away from active work areas. If conditions at the site are unsafe or prevent us from working properly, we may need to pause the work until the situation is resolved, which may affect timing and cost.
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. The workmanship warranty applicable to a given project, including its scope and duration, is as described in your work order or quote and as required by applicable law. This warranty generally covers defects in the work we performed under normal use and does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, alterations or repairs made by others, normal wear, or events outside our control.
Materials, equipment and devices that we supply and install are covered by the warranties offered by their respective manufacturers, and we pass those manufacturer warranties through to you to the extent they are transferable. Claims relating to defective products are handled in accordance with the applicable manufacturer's warranty terms.
These warranties are provided in addition to, and do not replace or reduce, the legal warranties and protections you are entitled to under Québec law.
Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes or waives any rights, warranties or remedies that you have under the Québec Consumer Protection Act (Loi sur la protection du consommateur), the Civil Code of Québec, or any other applicable law. Those legal protections, including the legal warranties that apply to goods and services, cannot be waived and continue to apply regardless of anything stated in these Terms.
Where any provision of these Terms would conflict with a right you have under mandatory consumer protection legislation, that legislation prevails and the conflicting provision applies only to the extent permitted by law.
The Website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we make reasonable efforts to keep the information on the Website accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free, or that the Website will always be available or free of interruptions.
Information on the Website, including descriptions of services and general electrical guidance, is provided for general information only. It is not a substitute for a professional assessment of your specific situation and should not be relied on as professional advice for any particular project. Electrical work can be dangerous; please contact us for an assessment rather than relying solely on general information.
To the extent permitted by law, this section applies only to the Website and the general information it contains, and does not affect the warranties and standards that apply to the electrical services we actually perform for you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Okla Électrique will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Website.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it cannot be limited or excluded under the law of the Province of Québec, including liability for gross or intentional fault, for bodily or moral injury, or under the mandatory protections of the Québec Consumer Protection Act and the Civil Code of Québec. This limitation of liability is expressly subject to those rights that cannot be excluded by law, and it does not reduce the legal warranties applicable to our work.
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, tools or resources, including links to our social media pages on Facebook and Instagram. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products, services, privacy practices or availability of any third-party site or service.
Accessing a third-party website or service is at your own risk, and any dealings you have with a third party are governed by that party's own terms and policies, not by these Terms.
We respect your privacy. Personal information that we collect through the Website and in the course of providing our services, including through our quote and contact forms, newsletter sign-up, phone, email, and standard website and analytics technology such as cookies and browser local storage used to remember your dark or light theme preference, is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and with applicable privacy laws, namely Québec's Law 25 (the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over your personal information. Please review the Privacy Policy on our Website for full details; it forms part of your relationship with us alongside these Terms.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Okla Électrique and its directors, officers and employees from reasonable claims, damages and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the Website, or your provision of inaccurate or incomplete information that we reasonably rely on.
This means, in plain terms, that you are responsible for using the Website lawfully and for giving us accurate information about your property, your project and your requirements. This section does not apply to matters caused by our own fault, and it does not affect or reduce any of your statutory or consumer rights.
These Terms, and any dispute or matter arising out of or in connection with them, the Website or our services, are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Québec, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
You agree that the courts of the Province of Québec have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Website or our services. This does not deprive you of any protection regarding the jurisdiction or forum to which you are entitled as a consumer under applicable Québec law.
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, our practices, or the law. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date shown at the top of these Terms and post the updated version on the Website.
Any changes take effect when the updated Terms are posted. Your continued use of the Website or our services after that date means you accept the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically so that you stay informed.
If you have any questions about these Terms and Conditions, or about our services, please contact us. We are happy to help.
