What's included

From diagnosis
to power-on.

A panel change touches the heart of your installation: the service entrance, grounding, the permit and Hydro-Québec. We handle all of it, cleanly and to code.

01

Installation assessment

Current capacity, condition of the panel and service entrance, and your future needs (EV charger, heat pump, spa). Backed by a load calculation.

02

Old panel removal

Planned outage and safe disconnection, removal of the outdated or fuse panel.

03

New panel and breakers

100, 200 or 400-amp panel as needed, new breakers and code-compliant grounding.

04

Service entrance and mast

Replacement of the entrance and mast where needed, for a safe and compliant supply.

05

Hydro-Québec and permit

We coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with Hydro-Québec, file the permit and coordinate the inspection.

06

Labelling and power-on

Clearly identified circuits, full testing and a clean power-on, with the compliance documentation.

Why Okla

A panel that matches
your needs.

An outdated or full panel limits every addition (EV charger, heat pump, spa) and can become a risk. A right-sized panel means capacity, safety and added value for your property.

  • Hydro-Québec coordination, permit and inspection included
  • Clean, code-compliant work, no surprises

Capacity

100, 200 or 400 A:
how to choose?

The right capacity depends on your current load and your plans. Over-sizing costs for nothing; under-sizing limits every addition. We calculate the right level for you.

100 amps

Base capacity, sometimes enough for a small home without big electrical additions. Increasingly tight for a modern home.

200 amps

The recommended standard today, especially once you add an EV charger, heat pump or spa.

400 amps

For large properties or high demand. Requires a dedicated entrance and equipment, carefully planned.

FAQ

The questions we

Common signs: breakers that trip often, a fuse panel, a full panel with no room for new circuits, or a large added load (EV charger, heat pump, spa). At the survey we assess the condition and capacity and tell you honestly whether an upgrade is needed.

It depends on your current load and your plans. A home adding an EV charger, heat pump or spa often needs 200 amps. We do a load calculation and recommend the right capacity, without over-sizing.

A residential upgrade is usually done in a day. It involves a planned power outage. We give you a precise timeline at quote time and coordinate the outage with you.

Yes. A panel replacement requires an electrical permit and inspection. We file the permit, do the work to code, and coordinate the inspection, with the compliance documentation.

Yes. A panel or service-entrance change requires a disconnect and reconnect by Hydro-Québec. We handle the coordination so everything goes smoothly.

Not necessarily, but it is often outdated and insufficient for today's needs, and many insurers frown on it. We assess it and recommend the safest, most suitable option.
